we slept under the rope swing. I climbed a tree covered in paint and as you leaned up to kiss me, I slid off the branch into your hands.
And to show me you loved me despite the distance, you collected my fist in your folded fingers.

thinking of those sad eyes you carried from another continent. The tears come out of them in thin ropes. Still it rains. The window pulls each jewel apart and the cold seeps through the sky
